I am a firm believer in manifesting the dreams and ideas that speak to me. One day I had a vision of a space where dining, entertaining and lodging could come together in a unique space. I sketched my ideas down on paper and got to work on bringing this dream to fruition. Now, one year later there is a beautiful space for locals and tourists to visit called The Honey Lofts. This is a boutique hotel like experience that gives you an affordable, clean, convenient choice on a short stay in New Orleans. We are located in the New Marginy/Treme area just moments from the edge of the French Quarter. The historic Circle Food Grocery Store (founded in 1938) is right across the street and Ernie Kato's Mother In Law's Lounge is a few blocks away. While visiting the Honey Lofts, you can explore New Orleans Heritage by taking part in a Jazz Second Line on Sundays. Take a look at the video below to see the finished product of The HoneyLofts. Although it was an extremely difficult process, I proudly wore the hats of a contractor, plumber, designer, manager, and so much more. I look forward to sharing a piece of my heart with you on your next visit to New Orleans.
Honey Lofts is located on historical St. Bernard Ave., in a building that was extremely impacted by Hurricane Katrina (previously called the Liberty Hardware store). At one time this building was vital to the cultural, social and economic times because of its location and contributions to neighborhood unity. We are happy to be in this area so that we can bring back a cultural dynamic that we haven't seen in over 50 years. St. Bernard Ave is back on the road to greatness. We will rebuild and it will be the pride of the 7th ward.
